Unexpected gem!
Posted 22 Dec 2023 on HotelsAs a Part of the Eurostar tunnel strike, we unexpectedly wound up in Calais and were well taken care of by this no frills hotel! Lovely basic breakfast - I’ve not seen a “cook your own egg” set up -along with fresh bread, pastry, yogurt and juice.
I’ll definitely return to Calais and to the Hotel Brit.

The hotel is located in a good area where a shopping mall is within walking distance.
The night staff member (tall man quite sluggish with glasses) was very rude, Full of attitude and just ruined our mood. He rudely shoved our wine glass and beer towards us which nearly tipped over.
However the trip & hotel was good. Bed was a bit squeaky and scared if the bed would break due to the noises it made.
All day time staff memebers where extremely nice & helpful except for the night time staff member. Ideally should be spoke to if not fired for the way he speaks to not only myself but other people I’ve witnessed
