"This hotel is very well situated - easy walking to the Cairns marina, esplanade and various top restaurants. Our marina executive room had a wonderful view of the marina and mountains beyond. Walking to the city centre is also easy. Our room was well serviced by staff who were very non intrusive. The facilities are very clean. Updating the t.v. to a smart t.v. to allow access to streaming channels would be a plus.The pool is in a lovely setting, but some form of water heating would make swimming in the pool in August more inviting. Overall though a lovely place to stay."

"The breakfast spread is excellent. Great options for all ages. The hotel is conveniently located close to most restaurants and stores. The esplanade is also a short walk. "

"Excellent staff as always and a late checkout. Rooms could do with new refrigerators. Plus as a woman in the gym on her own it would be good to either have the walking machines face the door - or have mirrored glass on the wall opposite the door so I can see what is happening behind me and who has come in. "

"This is within easy walking distance of plenty of shops, restaurants, and the coast. The room itself felt like it was cleaned using only a checklist without any supplemental discretion about whether the room was clean. It appears that they mop the floor with soapy water, but never do anything to rinse it off, and as such the residual soap does what soap is designed to do: attach to dirt. Without the aid of a subsequent washing with water the floor remains dirty and slightly sticky. "
