You simply cannot find a more attractive little boutique hotel (pousada) than Solar do Arco. Super stylish, quaint, Portuguese-inspired architecture. Wonderful staff, very good breakfast and parking just next door. Dining options abound.
The room was well appointed and the A/C was quiet and appeared to be brand new.
I'm going back!

We loved our stay at Hotel Solar do Arco and Cabo Frio as a wider area. We really enjoyed the facilities - lounging by the pool and reading in the main terrace was a particular highlight for me. We had a great breakfast each morning, and the staff were incredibly friendly and approachable. We would love to come back here again and would recommend the hotel to our friends!

Posted 15 Mar 2019 on HotelsWe moved to Solar from one of the Recanto properties as Solar had availability so we can compare the two. The Premium Recanto had a great pool area and excellent breakfast. Solar breakfast was ok. Both hotels downstairs smelled very moldy and Solar seemed to make us feel bad. We moved to the 2nd floor at Solar the final night and that was better. I prefer the Recanto if there is availability. Solar is a beautiful hotel also.

We loved this hotel but what really made it special was the staff. They are very nice, attentive and competent. The quality of the drinks at the pool were fantastic. Best cuba libre I ever had.
