The mattress was lumpy and hard. Terrible sleep both nights. pillows hard and flat The breakfast was the worst we have ever had. It was a full English OR a bowl of cereal! The guests are expected to have exactly the combination on the menu!! Requested poached eggs on toast…refused. Even though it would have saved them money. Husband was still dressing and when I asked if he could choose his juice when he arrived I was told no…now or not at all!! Sausage was very cheap quality. Everything else luke warm. Did not bother on second morning. They do not replace tea and milk in room. If we could have gone elsewhere for 2nd night we would have. Everywhere else was booked up!

Thank you for your review. Mattresses are personal preference and the one in the room you were in is a new one so not lumpy. If you had asked for poached egg I would have happily cooked that for you, as for everything been Luke warm that’s fictional as everything is cooked to order. You can get replacement tea and milk for your rooms from the bar. Also you were only bringing 1 dog and ended up with 3 all weekend which you told me on arrival 2 we’re going to someone else. Your welcome for the dog towel.

Our first visit - a warm welcome, really good accommodation, excellent food. All in all, very pleased and we will be visiting again. Great value for money in an area packed with things to do. Highly recommend

Posted 27 Oct 2023 on HotelsAmazing views. Lovely pub with log burner. Friendly and welcoming hosts. Room was clean and comfortable. Shower needed a bit more power.
Evening meal and breakfast were delicious and very reasonable.

Having driven for 4 hours, in arrival I got a friendly greeting and was shown to my room. I had a couple of drinks in the bar where the fire was lively and warm.
