This motel was just what we needed for our three day stay. It was very clean and looked to be recently remodeled. The facility was family friendly with 2 outdoor grilling/ entertaining areas, small play area for children, horseshoe frames, pool and a place to clean freshly caught fish among other nice touches. The only thing that I would like to see added to the room was a small chair. There were 4 nice stools to go along with a long countertop, but it would be nice to have a chair to sit on to watch tv or tie your shoes. We will definitely stay at the Swell Motel if we return to the Outer Banks.

Property owners were very friendly without being intrusive. Liked the resident cats. Liked that it was pet friendly without it being run down or smelly from the dogs staying with other guests. Would stay there again. Best part was getting clean towels every day delivered right to your room!

From check-in to check-out everything was smooth and professional. The front desk was wonderful, I wish I remembered her name. i would recommend this place for anyone looking for a getaway to Hatteras

This was a great little place! Everything was clean and in order, and the staff were super friendly. (So was Peaches the cat!)

What a pleasant stay at Swell. The rooms were very well kept and clean and the owner is a pleasure to deal with. First time here but definitely not my last!
