Great stay. Very friendly staff. They could have cleaned the rooms a bit better and made sure all the electric blankets work. But overall great stay, very scenic

General stay was very nice but a few things need attention. General cleaning was not good, dog hair on lounge, towels had stains and wood supplied and the wood we have bought was wet, was smoking and battle to burn., we also did not get the key to go out to the front stoop, blinds are also broke, does not have the open and close sticks. We also did not knew that we need to pay to get to the lodge.
Otherwise it is a beautiful place, We did have a nice stay.
Thank you, The welcome was very friendly and warm

We arrived relatively late at about 6.45pm. Promptly shown to our River Lodge before checking in. Went to reception to check in and they seemed more interested in signing you up for their dinner. Shown where dining room was but given no other orientation. They advertise free internet but you are restricted to 200mbs for 24hrs only per stay. This is the same no matter how long your stay is! We were supposed to be staying for 3 days but had to cut it short by 1 day. Extra Wi-fi can be purchased at ZAR 30 per 200mbs-extortonate in my opinion. Very few extras in room apart from basic coffeE/tea making condiments. Evening meals are ok but very limited choice-cost ZAR 280. Breakfast was good at ZAR 190. The lodges need some TLC. One of our balcony chairs was broken. The lights went out after we had our dinner necessitating moving to the adjacent lodge.Towels were smelly and many of the curtains were hanging off their rails and difficult to draw. The Management showed no interest in our concerns. It also appears that’s tips paid on credit card do not get to the waiting staff as they consistently asked if tips could be paid in cash! Despite this the place has a beautiful setting With wonderful views over the mountains. Thanks in particular to MK who looked after us very well

Perfect mountain retreat
Posted 19 May 2019 on HotelsStayed in one of the 5* chalets for a long weekend.
Amazing place in a wonderful setting, with very attentive staff, and the meals are so delicious we ended up having 3 courses every day for dinner.

One of the best places to experience the Maluti Mt
Posted 22 Apr 2019 on HotelsThe staff at Maliba Lodge were helpful from when we booked chalets for an extra night, throughout our stay and up to our departure.
We were a group of eight, four adults and four children between the ages of six and 13. The staff were incredibly accommodating and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience.
This was our second stay but this time we had a friend from the U.K. with us. She loved the place just as much as we had hoped! We will most certainly be back with other family members who haven’t yet made the trip, especially as we want to see and occupy the two new chalets that are currently under construction. We are also now familiar with two of the trails/walks, so we intend to come back much better prepared.
Many thanks to all the staff of this beautiful place, both on site in Lesotho and in Durban.
