Disappointing.
Posted 29 Sep 2019 on HotelsArrived at 9:30 in the evening after long trip up from Spain en route back to the UK. We booked the room about 3hrs prior to our arrival as we were unsure how far up through France we would get. The hotel would not serve us any food even though we had to wait for the hotelier to serve meals to the seated guests before checking us in. There was nowhere else open for food so we went to bed hungry. The room was in an annex away from the main square, which was disappointing. The bedroom was ok but the bathroom was dated and only had a bath. There was a small shuttered window which had a bright light outside all night. The room has pictures of water on the wall. It would be better to have some black and white photos of Richelieu so you felt you were there rather than in a bland hotel room.
