Burkes Pass Motel was lovely for our short stay in the Lake Tekapo area. Easy check in/check out. Felt like we were on a farm retreat with the garden, hens, and sheep on the property. Very clean room and friendly staff :)

It was pretty much the only accommodation in town and was just a 15 minute drive from Lake Tekapo. Very reasonably priced. Owners were very friendly and were happy to chat and offer any advice. The room was big and spacious and had everything we needed. Was a great place to just chill out and admire the stars at night. Highly recommended.

The property needs a lot of care . It’s very old and tiny, super basic amenities . I paid almost $400 . Compared to a 3 bedroom modern apartment in other areas we lived in and paid less than $200. I know where to look next time . The lady at the desk when we checked in is friendly and helpful though .

Hi Judith,Thank you for the feed back.we are a motel not a apartment & we had clear booking numbers of four people.The unit you booked was for was not capable of sleeping or holding six people and you knew when booked you had more than Four as you had done it to another acomodation place in Cromwell.Yes i charged xtra as you had lied on you booking.I did appreciate you leaving the unit so clean and tidy.Please in future book for the appropriate amount of people that will be staying together an you will find it more comfortable and have adequate room.

We really enjoyed our stay at Burkes Pass Country motel! The rooms were clean and cosy and the beds were comfortable to sleep in, much needed after a long drive from Christchurch! We stayed here while visiting Lake tekapo and the drive through burkes pass was beautiful

Clean and comfortable room. All necessary amenities included. Megan and Phil were very friendly. Greeted us on arrival and departure.
