The service from the entire staff was exceptional. When we encountered a mechanical issue with our room, Juhasz Virag the guest manager upgraded our room, comped breakfast, gave us a departure box of chocolates and had the kitchen prepare a snack for our flight. She went above and beyond to provide exceptional service. We travel the world staying in the finest hotels and this hotel and service ranks up there with the best. We also took advantage of the spa including massages. Leona in the spa provided one of the best massages I have ever experienced. Incredible!! This was our 2nd visit to Budapest, we love this city, and if we return, we will be staying again at the Anantara in a junior suite.

1st. the breakfast was a big downer, with intrusion from visitors to the grand café, that was opened to hotel guests as well as for visitors from the street, taking pictures all the time, which bothered me a lot. Didn't feel like I was in a private place for the hotel guests. It was noisy and agitated to the point I could not enjoy it, so I did not take the breakfast at the hotel the following day. I asked the guest service to remove the breakfast from my room bill, and it was denied, which is rude and uncommon from a 5 star hotel, from service standpoint for a hotel at this level. Air conditioning was intermittent so it was hot inside the room suite at nights. The area around the hotel is not very nice, quite a rundown city center. For these reasons I can say that It was not resting or relaxing vacationing as I expected it to be. I couldnt sleep well or have proper calm breakfast. I wouldnt be back.

This hotel was faultless, the facilities, rooms, service and all the staff were amazing. Definitely looking forward to staying here again.

Such an excellent hotel with friendly and helpful staff. I highly recommend this hotel. It definitely makes the budapest trip more memorable.

Everythings was nice. The staff was really friendly, the food was extremely delicious. The room was clean and comfortable, they used premium materials everywhere.

The building is stunning inside and out. Our room (grand room city view) was enormous and well worth spending a little more; the walk in wardrobe was a very pleasant and welcome surprise. The spa has its own elevator; the pool, saunas and staff were very welcoming after a long day sightseeing. All staff around the hotel are very attentive, helpful and quick in all that they do, the breakfast area is truly beautiful and the hot menu has a fair amount in addition to the buffet. It is located less than a minute from the metro (M2), buses and trams, which can generally get you to a tourist location within 15 mins or less. I would definitely stay here again, a lovely experience and a great treat to yourself!

The property is very nice, the rooms are a bit outdated. I would not stay again because the location is terrible. The surrounding neighborhood is dirty, smelly, and grungy. Really took back from the nice hotel experience.
