Great Place to Stay
Posted 17 Feb 2024 on HotelsWe enjoyed our stay at Furzeleigh Mill. It is a boutique hotel that clearly prides itself on its ambiance and quality of service. The setting is excellent for anyone who wants to hike the moors, and the owner and staff were very helpful in providing directions to the best trails. We highly recommend staying here for a couple of days.

Very comfortable
Posted 11 Oct 2023 on HotelsRight next to the A38, so convenient for Plymouth or Exeter, for example. Lovely setting, quiet, friendly and a lovely room. I didn’t eat or drink there, but the provided me with a breakfast bag as I had to leave early.
Near a national trust site (the abbey, I think) and I expect a good base to explore the region as right on the edge of Dartmoor, I think and not too far from the south coast
