Not Bad for the Price
Posted 25 Jul 2019 on HotelsThe reception closes and you need a code to get into the hotel after a certain hour. No one told me this or gave me a code at check in. I had to hang around for another guest to let me in. They are extremely nice, but there seem to be a lot of loose ends that could be tightened up. Then again, at this price you have to expect some hiccups.

Excellent value for money at only €50 per night.
Room was clean and comfortable and a generous continental breakfast. Very close to the SNCF station also. I thought it might be noisy but apart from some locals celebrating their rugby team winning a big game was quiet .

I liked the face it is right across the street from the train station. Next door was our car rental. How could that have been better. Receptionist didn't speak English and my French is not great but it didn't matter, and check in easy

Nice comfortable room, staff very friendly and helpful (despite the minor language barrier) lovely town and nice places to eat.

Hotel La France was an efficiency stop.
Posted 21 Jun 2017 on HotelsHotel La France was an efficiency stop. The price was reasonable but I would not recommend for more than an overnight stop en route.

Nice People - Food OK - accommodation poor

Pros: Nothing
Cons: Refurbishment
Location: There was very little to do.
Our room was extremely small with an even smaller en suite "conversion" which had steps and a sliding partition.
Completly unsuitable for us over 70's.
