We booked the room hours in advance. When we checked in, the AC was off, on a 93 degree day. We turned the air on and left to go to town for about 5 hours. When we came back, it was still hot in the room. I told the front desk, he advised me to just turn the gauge down to 7 instead of 10. I told him it wasn’t that it was freezing up, it was still blowing. It’s just now cooling the room. We tried it anyway. At around 1 am the unit shut off completely. I called the desk. The guy was rude and seemed irritated. He moved us to another room. So at 1:30 AM I moved my kids dog and wife and all our stuff to another room. He walked me to the room,handed me the card, then waked out. Didn’t say anything. Just walked out. So we are the ones being inconvenienced, but he’s being rude to us, the customer. The new room did have a new AC unit and it did work better. If they had the exact same room with a new AC unit I don’t understand why we didn’t just get that one to begin with. This 2nd room was also cleaner and smelled better. First room had hair all in the sinks and bathtub. The beds are cheap and hard. Pillows are extremely thin. You have to fold them in half to have any support. If you are looking for a place to sleep and shower and most of your time is going to be somewhere else like SDC, and you’re on a budget, this place is okay. If you’re actually going to spend time in your room and or if you are picky about cleanliness or bed comfort, I’d go somewhere else.

Unit 104 had no water pressure, outlet by sink non-operational, toilet seat flopping around. Weve stayed at this place many times becauseits close to the lake and affordable. But it needs some attention and the owner is seriously RUDE! Two towels in the room and no supplies, so bèware. If you get a lower level room the room upstairs noise is quite obvious! Just letting you know whats going on. We'll continue tostay, if they dont block us.

We had standing water in the bathroom for four days. It looks old and run down. The people staying around us were slamming doors, banging the walls, arguing and loud foul language.

Adequate for the Price

It is very apparent that they have tried to update the hotel rooms. The 1st room we entered had bugs, so make sure you check the room before taking in luggage. The manager quickly moved us to a different room. The bed was a little harder than we like but still adequate. The pillows were very flat so bring your own. The towels are very small but adequate as well. There is NO breakfast at this hotel. They charge a $100 deposit up front, but we did get it back after we checked out. The hotel was adequate for our needs and the proximity to SDC was fantastic. We received what we paid for but would opt to stay elsewhere next time we are in Branson.
