Lovely room. We booked it last minute and arrived just after 10pm. reception closes at 10pm but we got lucky as the staff were still around, not sure what we would have done otherwise but it should say online when you book

Superior room was far from. Floor out of level despite age. Towel rad in bathroom didnt work & freezing. Didn't get fixed & lied to by Manager twice about handyman coming to fix it.Lunch was poor. Dried up mash & soggy broccoli

Dated hotel/pub but it’s n the middle of Braintree so lots of food options, I had food here and it was your normal pub grub and good parking.
Would stay here again.

Posted 7 Feb 2024 on HotelsHas a great experience at the White heart from start to finish. Friendly welcome and check in was quick and easy. Rooms are spacious, clean and well equipt.
Shower was excellent.
The Restaurant/bar area was busy which is always a good sign. The food was really good and piping hot on arrival which didn't take long at all.
