Amazing! owners are really nice people who built the hotel themselves over the years, great service, great location. Loved everything about it! No A/C otherwise perfect, especially the breakfast.

Quiet and relaxing

Pros: Gardens
Cons: Room and hallway were a bit stuffy. The area could be aired out (not sprayed with a freshner as that made it worse).
Location: Close to Fort Bourtange and village with restaurants and shops.
The hostess of the Hotel Bourtange is the best. She is warm and cordial. The breakfasts were delicious with a variety of food offered.
The grounds of the hotel are spacious and enjoyable. When weather permits it is nice to sit on patio and enjoy the surroundings.

Pros: Der Garten.
Cons: Dieses Hotel nicht mehr als Hotel zu bezeichnen.
Location: Das Hotel ist etwas außerhalb von Borutange. In Bourtange gibt es eine tolle Festung die es sich anzuschauen lohnt.
Wir hatten für 3 Personen eine Kammer unterm Dach. Dort standen 4 Betten, 1 Tisch, 4 Stühle und 1 Schrank. 2 Dachbalken gingen schräg über je einem Bett her. Die Matratzen waren zu weich. 3-Sterne-Komfort sieht für mich anders aus und als Hotel konnte man dieses alte Gebäude (vermutlich früher mal ein Bauernhaus) nun wirklich nicht bezeichnen, bestenfalls als "Frühstückspension".
Das Frühstück war in Ordnung und die Terrasse und der Garten waren ganz nett ansonsten Museums-Charakter.
Wir verbuchen den 2-Nächte-Aufenthalt als Erfahrung.

Posted 27 Jul 2018 on HotelsWe made a quick stop on our road trip from Sweden to Normandie and this B&B suited us fine. Located fairly close to the highway, very nice hostess, clean room, good breakfast buffet and good wifi. The only negative was that the room stayed quite hot all night but it had been over 30°C during the day.
