The staff were lovely and very friendly and helpful, it’s just that the rooms were very basic and the hotel in general was very tired

We came for a night on the way to Peppa Pig World (30 min drive away) and it had everything we needed and more.
The kids loved the pool and the grounds. It was a 20 min walk from the beach but there was a supermarket/other shops just across the road.
The room was a bargain, and had the basics you would need for a night's stay. Plenty of room for the kids (family room - 1 double and 2 singles.) The beds were comfortable.
The staff were friendly and the breakfast was nice.

We had an enjoyable stay. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. The Laguna is within easy walking distance to all amenities in Bournemouth. The pool and games room facilities were an added bonus. Our room was small for a family room and the bathroom, whilst clean and in working order was very old.
