Wouldn't go back

Clean, comfortable and friendly.
Posted 24 Feb 2020 on HotelsSmall hotel that appears to be family run. Small rooms but clean and comfortable. Breakfast was very good. Everything seemed fresh and home made. Staff was very friendly and accommodating; even when I checked in 4 hours early. Not too much excitement in the area but the hotel is good.

An edge of town establishment that is in need of some TLC. Staff very friendly and helpful but rooms are basic and not particularly sound-proofed and towels/mats in a very basic bathroom were all frayed at the edges. Arriving late, was pleased that staff offered a hot pizza as it is quite a walk to the nearest restaurant.

Passing Through
Posted 25 Sep 2019 on HotelsPleasant stay. Chose this hotel as its location was convenient for arriving at an even smaller village not far away, where I had an early morning appointment the next day. The room was clean and the service was correct. Opted for “Comfort” room, to ensure our, ahem, comfort. Nothing spectacular here, but overall, a clean, safe place to sleep if you’re passing through the region.
+Front desk staff was pleasant
+Room was clean
+Kettle in room for making coffee, as I had to check out very early
-Bed was a bit squishy/not very firm
-Duvet was synthetic

The only poor area is the quality of the room. Separate wash basins from the shower and toilet is a poor standard. The public areas and staff were very good.

Room was basic, with a horrible plastic carpet. It was over-heated and the air con either wasn’t aircon or didn’t work. There was tea and coffee making facilities but only decaf coffee. Most worryingly the fire alarm went off around 2.30am, the guests evacuated and waited outside in the rain and at no point did we see a member of staff!

Dear, do not hesitate to contact us about the heat, we can manage it at the reception. We can't change from heat to airconditionning on one room, we must change it for all the rooms at the same time. The fact is the tempature still changing and this week it was only 6°C during the night. Meaning that we can't turn off the heat at the moment.
Our staff was present during this night and was discussing with the police because one of our guest decided to launch the fire alarm willingly. We are sorry that you've been distrub by this bad situation even if it's not our false...
