great for a stopover

I was really pleasantly surprised at how good this hotel was. We used it as a stopover and found that all the things required were present - the shower was magnificent, the bed really comfortable, the air-con worked.

2 days without toilet paper I had to call the desk. No ac and the foam on the mattress needed to be centred every time.

A great find.

Very friendly, professional staff, particularly at reception. Room was quiet, spacious and spotlessly clean. Very comfortable big bed. Staff attended to any concerns immediately. Dog friendly. Very good breakfast. Excellent location if attending or visiting St Privat hospital.

As usual a very good experience

We have stayed in this hotel a few times now and every time we have a good experience. The receptionists are really friendly and helpful. We asked for a ground floor room and they were able to change that so we didn’t have to climb stairs with all our luggage. Breakfast is good.

A very pleasant and comfortable place to stay

I had a very pleasant three night stay at Hotel Le Monestie while on a business trip to the Beziers area. The hotel has very comfortable and modern updated rooms with, for French standards, a very large and modern bathroom. I actually had to change where I had originally planned to stay in the area as when I arrived at the other property, the wifi barely worked! That wasn't an issue at all at Hotel Le Monestie as the internet service was very fast and reliable. The public areas of the hotel are also comfortable and inviting along with a nice breakfast area, pool, and outside deck. The location has plenty of parking on the hotel grounds and is located in a pleasant quiet village about only about ten minutes from the center of Beziers.

Recpetion Closed so No Keys to Open the Rooms

With Reception Closed there was no access to the room keys. This room was booked about 10 p.m. local time through the internet. Immediately after booking I tried to call the hotel to arrange a late arrival since we were about an hour away. The reception was already closed when I called so that I could not arrange a late arrival. I called hotels.com and they could also not reach the hotel reception. My reservation was not able to be cancelled by me or hotels.com. The next couple days hotels.com checked and no charges seemed to be going through. When I arrived back in the U.S. and got my credit card statement there was a charge I did not recognize since it said SARL and was after I had already arrived in the U.S. I disputed the charge until "SARL" was able to provide documentation indicating this was in fact the Hotel Le Monestié for the night I had tried to stay. I approved the credit card charge since I had actually made the reservation through the internet but have since been trying to obtain a refund from the hotel. After an email with documentation and several phone calls, I have been unsuccessful. The result is that I have been charged for 2 rooms but had to sleep in the car that evening since we could not locate another room late in the evening. Hotels.com has tried to get me the refund with no success. Even though the reservation was not able to be canceled, this transaction does not pass the test of fairness since the hotel did not provide the keys

Hotel on industrial estate. Nice swimming pool and 1 lovely restaurant nearby but a fair distance from the town centre
