Service isn’t matching with classic outfit. There were extra overnight stay fees that were not expected

Great property. Frank at the front desk was very helpful and kind. Walking distance to MIT and short Uber to Fenway. The only issue I had with my room was the center nightstand had a strong ash tray smell. At times it was pretty strong but not enough for me to complain or request a room change. Not a big deal. Overall great property.

My partner and I stayed here for 5 nights as I ran the Boston marathon on Monday. The hotel itself is wonderful with picturesque views of the Charles River. The reception staff are really helpful (shout-out to the lovely lady who recommended places to go to in Salem, as her sister lives there) it was definitely worth visiting, we had a blast! There were a lot of other marathon runners staying too and this gave the hotel a community feel. There is a trader Joe's about 20 minutes away from the hotel, which was ideal. The pasta night was a great idea (only critique is the size of the pasta was on the smaller side, I definitely felt like I could have done with some more the day before a marathon 😄) We did spend a fair amount of money on Ubers just to get to the other side of the Charles River and back. Overall really happy with our stay and would recommend to anyone running future Boston marathons.
