Walls are paper thin. They don’t have quiet hours. Our neighbors were so loud until midnight. We’re on vacation and maximizing our time by getting up early. We got very little sleep the first night. The second night I don’t think anyone was there so it was good unless people walked past the room talking loudly. The room looked dated. Really hate the yellow walls. The shower/tub had hair in it and the shower curtain was hung so high it wouldn’t sit in the tub when showering. The floating shelves are falling off the wall, so we’d walk in and the towels were always on the floor. My toothbrush wasn’t where I left it. Glad I had extra. I don’t want to know if it got knocked to the floor or not. The bed and pillows were really comfortable. Good selection on the tv for a little downtime before bed. The scrambled eggs were tasteless and had a weird texture. The other food was good to okay. However, the people staying there trashed the breakfast area on Sunday morning. They were taking all the food as soon as it was put out-young kids and college kids. There wasn’t a lot left for people actually wanting to eat. Most of that food ended up in the trash. Such a waste. The staff was doing everything they could to keep up and they just couldn’t. The second morning was better because it was mostly seniors. The grounds were really nice. Reception staff were awesome. Pool area had a LOT of standing water on the ground and was slippery.

In for a quick two night visit for work in Salem. Parking onsite was great and the location is beautiful. Spacious room, high ceilings and a window that opened. Beds weren’t super co forts le and they’ve opted for 4 square sized softer pillows per bed for sleeping but easy to arrange to find a comfortable position. The room has a wardrobe for hanging clothes along with an iron and board, hair dryer and minimal toiletries but lots available at the front desk by request. There is no sound insulation, however so any hallway activity and noise from Adjacent rooms or passerbys feels present in the actual room. Slept with a white noise app on the phone overnight which helped. If you are light sensitive the light bleed under and around the door is substantial, as are the LED’s on the smoke detector/CO monitor and the plug in clock radio, which can easily be covered with something or unplugged. Ample breakfast options although we didn’t partake- always a need for more vegan options, though. Serviceable gym but very warm and no visible HEPA filter or fans in sight. Didn’t use the pool but seemed well maintained. If you are Covid conscious, the pros are windows that open and self contained HVAC.
