Great staff, cheap place to stay, has all the basics, however not exactly the safest area outside the hotel, likely preferable to return to your room before dark or get a taxi to the door. Overall would recommend.

So pleased l booked this hotel for my first solo trip to Bordeaux. Hotel opposite Saint Jean Gare from where l had got the Direct bus from Airport. Ibis Budget is immaculate. The facilities are excellent including the wonderful breakfast. Staff so helpful. Can get the tram opposite hotel, outside station to Bordeaux Centre, just a 13 minutes journey. All round a great hotel for a base to see the sights of beautiful Bordeaux. Definitely staying at the Ibis Budget if back in Bordeaux.

The windows can’t be opened properly. A/C barely works

It is definitely a budget hotel. The shower connects directly to the bedroom instead of the bathroom so there is no privacy at all if you want to shower. There is an up charge to use anything, a hair dryer, an iron, etc. The room is also much smaller then it appeared online.
