Very basic stay. Try for a second story room. First floor has no furniture for outside seating, the interior court is very small and your other option puts you basically on the side walk. We took dining rooms chairs to there. 2nd floor rooms had balconies with furniture. Laundry service was outstanding. Having a kitchen was a bonus but limited tools available. A strainer for pasta (a travellers staple) would have been nice. Also what was left of a melted spatula made it tough to flip anything in the pan. Coffee maker and blender looked pretty new. Air conditioner didn’t go below 24c. Was pretty warm. All in all, not sure it was worth the price, spend an extra $20.

Well you called me 20 times in 3 days could ask for the strainer and a new spatula as those items were there when I check the apartment in the morning before your arrival... In a tropical place I bet was warm... If you put ac to 17 air comes at the same temperature and it just never stop the pump causing overheating and worst working but I imagine you couldn't find any other to justify your vote... Spending 20 per night more is always an option but apparently no one would spend it and keep coming in the cheapest place for then complaining...

Host was welcoming and helpful when we had questions. Place was clean, we had a nice view of the water, it was a great location, close to the town but not right in town (5 min walk). Also a super quick walk to markets, coffee shops and restaurants.

Maurizio is one of the most friendly owner I've met, the apartments are great, very clean a'd affordable. Great location!

Could have been better.

Lets start by getting a phone call at 7pm asking me to give them my credit card information over the phone (not happening) 3 day before my stay i called them gave them my card info for a security deposit and confirm my reservation. Got to the hotel was granted an early check-in at 2pm which was great due to the fact we were tired after a long day of touring and having to wait 1hr for the room to be cleaned. This where it all turns left ! THE ROOM I BOOKED AND PAID FOR WAS A LOFT WITH OCEAN VIEW . I got a room with a view of the garden , not happy! After complaining to the guy he says the ocean is behind all the bushes and he will have it cut! NOT THE BEST ANSWER. The only reason i stayed and didnt cancel on the spto was due to my tiredness ! Hot water was flecky. I had no hot water at night (bummer). The place is great , loved the room but not what I PAYED FOR.

Let's start saying that we sent you 4 message during 1 month before have to call you 5 days before your arrival as you never answer the message about your reservation with an INVALID credit card, when you answered the call you say you will update the details and then we had to call you again 3 days telling that the reservation will be canceled due to no guarantee so you sent us a photo of the card. The arrival day also if the check-in is advertised everywhere at 3 PM you call us at 6 AM pretending to go in as you was tired. Hot water is provided by 500 liter tanks sun heated + a 32kw boiler, if you can't read the insutructions ( as you had to ask for the wifi password, how to use TV, and other information provided in the notice poster behind the door) we cannot stay in the apartment with you explaining everything... butler is not provided in our hotel. I don't even talk about the view, and you didn't cancel as we don't permit free cancellations not because you were tired... Saludos

Unless you are desperate, do not choose mini suite

We had reserve the mini suite for one week. It was not a mini suite, but a very small room, with a sink and stove at the bottom of the bed, and a table and 2 chair. No place to prepare food. The bathroom as well was very very small. The day after our arrival, the owner offered to change us to a larger room for the last 3 days, but in the meantime he changed his mind. The room was cleaned the first day and towels change, after that, 3 days later and not again. We had to put our garbage in the hallway to have it emptyed. Our *mini suite* was accross from the reception, and the walls paper thing, so wheneveer another customer came to chat with the owner, we could hear everything and this was very disturbing. The window was on the street and also noisy.

"it was not a MINI SUITE but a very small room" that's why it's called MINI... unless u think MINI means BIG...all is exactly as show the photos: wink and stove at the bottm of the bed, small bathroom, table and chairs. The garbage can was at 5 meters from your mini suite and as we cannot know when a bag inside the apartment is full all or guests empity it by themself also who is far then 5 meters. The cleaning schedule as written in the expedia & partners description is one per stay normally in the middle of it, but if a guest ask it we are pleased to clean, but u didn't neither ask for it, just complaining here for the first time. Our wall are in concrete with phono-absorbing layer inside, more then this we try to keep a voice level as low as possible in order to don't disturb guests, i wonder if you was in a completely wooden apartment (like most of Bocas del Toro constructions) what will you say about! Anyway thank's for your comment. Bye
