"Perfectly situated at the top of Steep Hill, with a car park to pre book. Staff are friendly and helpful, wonderful breakfast. Lovely room with an excellent modern bathroom with complimentary toiletries. A great variety of restaurants close by. We tried the tapas bar Ole Ole which was excellent. The Black Horse Inn

The Black Horse Inn

8/10 Good
"Check-in was quick. The room was good, if a little tired. It was very spacious, with a desk, large couch and plenty of space for clothes. The bed was large and very comfortable. All the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The pub itself is friendly and welcoming. Food wasn't great. I had lasagna. The meat was dry and hard, and some of the pasta sheets were baked rock-hard. I got the impression it was yesterday's food reheated in a microwave. 😒"

Hex Wildlife Hotel

10/10 Excellent
"I’ve stayed in the Hex home many times now. I love visiting the Yorkshire Wildlife Park & try to go for a couple of days at a time. Staying on the site is ideal. The hotel is comfortable with everything you would expect. If you have a room overlooking the park you can often watch the gibbons, wolves or the new penguin arrivals. The bistro next door has a good buffet breakfast to set you up for a lot of walking in YWP. The reception staff are lovely - welcoming & helpful."
