Hard beds, no microwave in rooms, not clean, huge flight of stairs, not disabled appropriate. Not worth the money

THE WORST ROOM EVER! SHAMEFULLY and INTENTIONALLY given the worst room there. We were the first and only ones there to check in for 4:00pm. The clerk knew at least one of the problems with that room but she chose to give that room to me and my mom, who is over 80 years old. The clerk knew the location of the room - that it was the closest room to the entrance/exit door and that it had a bell on it that rang every time it was used - day and ALL NIGHT. The door slammed in addition to the bell ringing EVERY TIME. As if that wasn't enough, the ice machine was across the hall. EVERY TIME someone got ice, EVERY SCOOP was heard, ALL NIGHT LONG!! I got NO SLEEP! I had to drive 4hrs to get home with NO SLEEP!!! THE WORST ROOM EVER!!! Here are other problems we encountered at Reid: RUSTED BATH DRAIN -couldn't take a bath, toilet didn't empty when used, slow draining sink that filled up with EVERY TIME sink was used, the TV remote didn't work properly, it turn the tv on but didn't work to turn it off- all I could do was mute the tv but the light from TV was on ALL NIGHT LONG, which made the room too bright for sleeping, AC button had been broken off - so we couldn't adjust the speed, so it was either on or off, if it was too hot, we had to turn it on - if too cold we had to turn it off. THE WORST ROOM AT REID RIDGE LODGE IN BLUE RIDGE!!!

My family and I stayed two nights so we could attend any friend’s wedding in, Blue Ridge. Overall the place is not bad. It’s older and my recommendation would be to change the aged mattress's and provide better quality linens.
