Carmen and the Inn staff were so warm and inviting, the building design provided lovely private space for family time inside and outside on the west-facing deck and lawn with ample chairs. The sunset over Great Salt Pond was beautiful. This is our new favorite location on Block Island - a must-stay for future visits!

Posted 10 Sep 2023 on HotelsOne of, if not the, cleanest inns I’ve ever stayed in. Very nice staff. The room was perfect for the two of us. Having beach towels and chairs available to us was a nice bonus. Breakfast was standard, though if I had to nitpick I wish they had some fresh fruit. The donuts were great.

We are glad you enjoyed your stay. Our staff works very hard, and it’s so nice when their efforts are appreciated. We actually do serve fresh fruit every morning at breakfast. Maybe you just didn’t see it? I’ll make sure the breakfast attendant points it out to guests. Thank you for the review.

We loved our stay at the Payne Harbor Inn. Our room was lovely, nice view of the harbor and boats not far away. The Inn is walkable to a few good places to eat and a very short driving or biking distance to the heart of town. The inn itself is very welcoming, with large porches on the front and back. Breakfast was tasty, with fresh muffins and Payne donuts.
