Our stay at the Bären was fantastic. The staff is absolutely wonderful, friendly, accommodating. The Hotel and room is very clean. We were able to do early check in and our room had a little fridge and microwave, which was fantastic because we travelled with a toddler. They also put in a little bridge between the two single beds so we could all sleep in the big bed, no baby bed needed. The location is so close to all public transit and endless restaurants and shopping opportunities. It's very close to the parliament building. There is a public market on Saturday and Sunday everything is closed (shops, grocery stores) but restaurants/coffees are open. Overall a great location, quiet (if you get the courtyard rooms) and a very pleasant stay.

Easy walk from train station and to Bern tourist attractions. Great breakfasts. Free washer and drier.

This was a great hotel for getting to and from the train station as well as the main tourist sights. 2 days a week there is a farmer’s market right outside the hotel. There is a lot of morning traffic and noise, so if you’re a light sleeper, you might want to use the earplugs they provide. It is airconditioned but is not turned on until May. It was cold outside, but the room was a little stuffy for me, so we opened the window. The staff were all extremely helpful and kind. We didn’t have breakfast in the hotel, so can’t speak to that.
