The hotel is situated directly opposite the train station/bus stop. Transport links are superb. The hotel room was excellent and the staff were very friendly and very helpful.

A very clean spacious room and bathroom with a view of the mountains. Breakfast included. Indoor garage only for 5 euros. Two minute drive from old town center.

Well-run, well-kept hotel. The rooms are large and very nice. We had everything we needed with mountain views from our room. The traffic is busy outside, but it's also convenient for walking 1 min to pubic transportation.

I loved staying at Hotel Schwabenwirt! The staff gets an A for helpfulness! Unfortunately I didn’t get her name, but one of the receptionists felt like a friend by the time we left, as she had helped us multiple times throughout our stay in addition to check in and check out.
Breakfast being included was convenient and helpful for keeping costs down and getting going with our activities earlier in the day than if we had to go find somewhere to eat breakfast.
We highly recommend this stay for anyone visiting Berchtesgaden without a car and relying on public transportation, as it is right across the street from the train and bus station.
Our only qualm was that our room faced the street, and the noise was loud until things calmed down late at night, especially since we had the window open pretty much constantly to regulate the temperature.
