It was wonderful to return here - I love this hotel. The gardens are beautiful and the beach is clean and fabulous for swimming and long walks. The staff are outstanding. In many years of travel I don’t think I’ve ever seen a hotel staff member more dedicated than the pool guy (pool is great for swimming laps too - 25m). The housekeeping team were great too - and surprised me daily with towel ‘art’ and flowers on the bed. Excellent food too!

A lovely boutique resort! The grounds were beautiful and the beach a short walk away. The staff was attentive but not obtrusive. I'd go back in a heartbeat!

Nice hotel, could use better beach setup

Nice facility, comfortable rooms. Pretty garden with pool. Pool was hot, but the hotel was adding cool water - just a hot place! You do need to cross the railroad tracks to the beach (as with most hotels in Bentota), but it's not that big of a deal - just no water views from the hotel because of the distance. What is most strange is that there is no setup of chairs/sunbeds/umbrellas or anything at the beach. On Day 2 of our stay we were able to get 2 sunbeds brought down to the beach. Seems really odd for a beach location. The ocean was pretty rough the first day, then slightly calmer the next two days - waves, but not knocking you over (we were there end of February). Restaurant staff is friendly and attentive. Food is very good, though not outstanding.

The staff are so helpful & go the extra mile for you. The pool is super & the beach so near - it’s stunning. You can easily go into Bentota town to shop or have lunch on the river.

Beautiful place to stay and relax. Green and leafy and an amazing pool and short walk to the beach. Friendly and accommodating staff who go the extra mile. Amazing room with a lovely view and huge bed!

Charming boutique hotel, decorated with taste, good rooms, helpful staff, excellent location almost on the (beautiful) beach. If you are not worried by the old diesel trains crossing the end of the garden, you will only enjoy your stay.

THE HOTEL IS THE WORST EVER EXPERIENCE IN MY LIFE. THEY ATTEMPTED TO CHEAT ME BY TRYING TO COMMIT CREDIT CARD FRAUD AND TRIED TO CHARGE ALMOST 3.5 TIMES THE AMOUNT WHICH WAS DUE. IN ADDITION I HAD TO SPEND THE ENTIRE DAY AT THE POLICE STATION TRYING TO GET THEM TO ADMIT THAT THEY WERE TRYING TO CHEAT ME WITH AMPLE PROOF OBTAINED IN TEXT MESSAGES FROM MY BANK. FORTUNATELY I HAD REPORTED THE ISSUE IMMEDIATELY TO MY BANK. I WOULD URGE PEOPLE TO NEVER BOOK THIS HOTEL AS THEY ARE FULL OF CHEATS INCLUDING THE ENTIRE MANAGEMENT! EXPEDIA NEEDS TO TAKE ACTION AGAINST THEM BY DELISTING THEM FROM THEIR WEBSITE.

Dear Mr.Guha, We apologies For the inconvenience caused due to the Card Machine failure. But Honestly we Could solve this very easily if you were flexible to do the payment in advance as we informed to you that we were unable to get the payment through your card details(Also we sent A Message through Expedia). Since we had to get the payment before 30 days according to the reservation Conditions & Also Most of the clients has several type of cards So if one card Didn't work they always provide another Card because they know that it is also their Responsibility to pay the bills Before Leave the premises. Hence Kindly Request from you not to mislead our Prestige Clients by Creating A Story Since we never Try to cheat our Clients as a Reputed Company which is in the Field More than 30 Years.Now a days it is A common practice to get the text message when someone try to get the payment from the credit card(Even It was Not Success) But we can find the actual transaction at the end of the day only after the Settlement Processed. So we accepted that we tried several times But we couldn't Accept that we Charged several times because any of the transaction not completed due to software issue of the machine. Finally we Could get the payment through Another machine which is based on our Corporate office Further End of the they we rechecked the transactions & There was only one Transaction Processed Through the Corporate Machine. Somehow if it Charged Twice there is no doubt It is our responsibility to refund the excess Amount Even the client Didn’t request. Also if necessary we can tell you how did you try to confused the staff saying that you already Did the payment through Expedia & What the other Guests Says about your Behavior.So we humbly request from other clients not to defend on this But Read all the Comments & Decide.
