Do Not Ever Stay at This Hotel

This is a horrible hotel. The WiFi doesn’t work even though they mentioned it would provide WiFi. The room and dining room were full of insects. The owner of the hotel is not a friendly person. When my boyfriend and I complained about the WiFi and the insects being everywhere, Maria Jose, the owner made a bunch of excuses. My boyfriend and I asked for a refund and Maria Jose overreacted and said that it was impossible to give a refund and she didn’t want to do it. My boyfriend and I got scammed.

Dear Danielle Baca, I'm sorry for your bad comments about the Twin Hotel Galapagos, we are in the middle of nature, the way your boyfriend complained was rude, I don't think throwing yourself to the floor and making tremendous drama is normal for you, we had to call the Police because we didn't know what was happening with your boyfriend, but nothing happened when we saw the authorities, what a shame, I have photos to prove your bad behavior, they already used the hotel's services.

They went over and beyond with catering to us. Extremely kind and helpful. Excellent meals!

The property is located far off from main area. You need to get off and on using a cab, for 3 days add another 30 bucks for cab. Expedia needs to throw this property out of their listing and i would blame expedia that showed this property for the area i am searching. A 20 year old kid is left scrmabling dealing with customers . We had multiple issues 1. Check - In was ok 2. Booked a trip thru hotel and it turned out to be a disaster. The owner Jose sold something and when we went to island, the guides had differrent itinery and threatened to leave us on the island when we asked for the promised tour. I did not get a refund from Jose.. Pure and simple cheating STAY AWAY

This is an authentic stay in the Galapagos upcountry that emphasizes simplicity, nature, and natural resources. Surrounded in a lush green tropical setting while still being only 15 minutes away from town by car, you’ll enjoy the peace and tranquility of nature with easy access to everything. The staff does everything to ensure that you enjoy your visit with their focus on hospitality. Rooms are spacious and comfortable but do not seek out luxury here. Instead you connect to what’s important while enjoying the freshest breakfast breads, eggs, fruits, juices, and coffee (most grown onsite). We also had them arrange our tours and other meals and it was a fantastic experience knowing that everything was taken care for you. Expect authentic, spacious, and rustic accommodations that allow you to enjoy nature itself.

Quaint; simple; no bells and whistles. Comfortable. Great location because you can see the highlands/farming area, are close to the lava tunnels, and is a good midpoint between the main town and the airport/cruise port. You can hire a "white truck taxi" to take you to Puerto Ayora (the main town) for $5 in about 10 minutes and $25 to the airport/cruise port in about 30 minutes.
