I travelled up from London and needed somewhere to stay close to Bamburgh castle.
I booked Purdy Lodge. It was close to everywhere I wanted to visit. The hotel is lovely and clean and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. The rooms were very clean and comfortable with lovely views of the countryside and Bamburgh castle.
The food in the restaurant was amazing. I have no complaints at all with my stay at Purdy Lodge and will definitely stay again the next time I come to Bamburgh.

This was a good value hotel with pleasant staff & a good cooked breakfast included in the price. We knew when we booked it that there was nothing walkable nearby & that wasn’t a problem. We visited Cragside, Amble, Seahouses & Druridge Bay other places. Close proximity to A1 but didn’t hear any road noise. Lovely views over open fields from the bedroom with the sea & Bamburgh castle in the distance. Rooms were clean & had everything we needed. Stayed 2 nights & were very happy with our stay overall.
