It was a little difficult to reach at night given that it is located inside an alley where it is hard for cars to drive into. Otherwise it is a nice hotel to stay in because the bed is comfortable and the service is nice. They even gave me a gift at the end of my stay. At the end of the day, all i ask is that the host treats me with respect and they did exactly that :)

A wonderful stay in a traditional hutong hotel.
Posted 30 Oct 2023 on HotelsThe staff were excellent and helped up to book a car and driver to take us to The Great Wall of China and The Temple of Heaven as we didn't speak much Mandarin. The hotel was clean and well maintained. The restaurant was excellent and tge food was delicious. The hotel was well situated in the Sanjanjing Hutong right next to Jinshan Park, and in easy reach of most of the popular tourist spots. The staff went out of there way to help us, and were so kind. We would definitely recommend this hotel and would love to return one day.

It’s very centre-located. The hotel is historic and beautiful. The only drawback is there is no heater in the bathroom so it’s a bit cold in there.

Loved just about everything about this hotel; it was beautiful, the staff was welcoming, the location was perfect, etc.
Only issue is that there was not enough hot water for 2 people to take showers. The hot water heater had enough for about 5-6 minutes of shower time. I know it's not the easiest location to have a giant hot water heater, but when it's -10c outside, a hot shower would be nice.

Very nice people working in hotel and restaurant. Poor water flow from shower and inadequate hot water. Toilet clogged repeatedly, so need better maintenance. Bed was very comfortable and the courtyard and rooms had real “period” charm. Food in the restaurant was excellent.
