Posted 28 Sep 2020 on HotelsThe Ollerod is a delightful hotel. The staff were incredibly helpful, we were shown personally to our room on arrival. The room was lovely, with a beautiful rug on the floor and fantastic bed. Incredibly comfortable.
The whole hotel was very clean and everything was done to comply with new Covid rules. Unfortunately this did mean no tea in the rooms, no toiletries or hairdryer but these were available on request and we were warned ahead of our arrival so were able to make arrangements.
We also had dinner in the restaurant which was superb, a good size menu and the food was excellent. Wine was reasonably priced too. Food delivery and empty plate removal was well organised with a separate table besides ours to facilitate.
Plus Beaminster is a lovely village to look around and very quiet
I'm sure we will be back

The staff were very friendly and welcoming. We stayed in an annex room that was rather small and not very well presented. There was no a/c and fortunately the weather was warm for the time of year because there was no heating. The gardens were a real asset but needed some TLC. Overall we had a pleasant stay but the Covid situation did have an effect on the room service and breakfast choice.

Lots of lovely different areas. Superb meal in restaurant. Staff all very friendly.
Coach rooms are very small and bathroom compact.
