To start on a positive note, the hotel lobby and restaurant looks clean and inviting. The staff was very polite. Also, the internet was quite stable and sheets and towels were clean. There were however, a few things that need more attention to detail and quality. For example, Extremely small and grainy tv. The TV screen is just bigger than a laptop screen. It smelled like mold in the hallway. Room floor was stained and always looked dirty. The phone in the room didn’t work so I couldn’t reach reception. Although the bathroom was quite clean, they need to do some deeper cleaning to remove some of the set in stains. Overall, since Ibis is a global chain you can expect it to kind of be the same everywhere you go so it’s dependable in that sense. It’s affordable and in a safe location.

Roach-infested/Out of Service Elevator

Pros: The view is great. The breakfast wasn't bad and the staff is friendly enough.
Cons: Get rid of the roaches; make sure the elevator works at all times and in the absence of a shuttle at least be able to call a cab for your guests.
Location: I am always on mission and have never had a chance to tour the city.
This hotel is disappointing. Unfortunately, it is one of your only options in Bata. It is roach-infested and the elevators didn't work while I was there. I have stayed at this hotel four or five times over the years and I have to admit that it is the first time that there have been issues with the elevator; however, in talking to a fellow guest, he told me that it was a common occurrence. I suggest that you choose rooms on the first of second floor, in case you have to make a climb for it. The roaches on the other hand, have always been there and it doesn't seem like they are going anywhere. In addition, there is not hotel shuttle and the hotel can't call you a cab so you better have a way to get to the airport. In terms of food, they have a pretty decent breakfast buffet, but the dinner menu is not great. Whatever you do, don't order the club sandwich, you will be sorely disappointed.

Top Notch Service

The employees at this hotel offer top notch service. They are extremely kind and patient with foreigners and offer much advice for getting around Bata. Had they not helped me out I would have wasted a lot of money and time learning the ropes of the area. The breakfast buffet is very good and any dish from the restaurant is a sure thing. Try the lamb and pork in the pepper sauce. The rooms were clean and I never had any problems with anything. Not all employees speak English so brushing up on the Spanish, French or Fang is definitely in order.

Super Lage an der langen Uferpromenade, auch wenn das eigentliche Zentrum eher zwei Steinwürfe entfernt ist Schade, dass die Dachterrasse nicht genutzt wird Verständigung problemlos auf spanisch, französisch oder englisch kleiner Kühlschrank im Zimmer reicht für Getränke für die Nacht

Durante la estancia surgieron distintos inconvenientes y aunque todos se solucionaron de forma satisfactoria, algunos como la limpieza tardaran más de lo razonable. Personal en general agradable, con alguna excepción. No vendría mal algún curso de formación en atención al cliente.
