I liked the open air area in the center of the hotel where they served breakfast and it included a relaxing area and even a hammock.

Colonial style hotel with rooms off courtyard

Pros: You will feel like part of the colonial past in the high vaulted room with exposed beams, each room off a central court yard
Location: Amazing colonial town in remarkable condition to walk around along cobbled lanes. Paper museum is worth a visit to see paper from different plants
Beautiful, relaxing room in the heart of Barichara, which makes you feel at one with the town. Wonderful breakfast in the gardens watching the birds. Didn't get to try th dinner as there was an art event occurring the days we stayed, but there were plenty of options in the town to eat at. Friendly staff gave us a useful overview of what to do in the town, including the pleasant walk to the adjacent town of Guane along "El Camino Real" (bus back will drop you close to the hotel).
