Family stay
Posted 21 Mar 2023 on HotelsStayed in the rooms for a family of five. It was nice. The water was warm and the jet tub worked well. We did not eat at the restaurant but went into town for dinner and our breakfast we brought back and put in the fridge. Only stayed one night but it was nice.

Swimming pool and the jacuzzi was not working
Posted 24 Mar 2022 on HotelsWe booked this hotel just because of the swimming pool and the jacuzzi. We were looking for the experience and the view from the jacuzzi to the mountains.
We were told in the reception of the hotel that they were both not working.
We would probably book another place if we knew this in advance.
We also spoke with other guests in the hotel who booked for the same reasons and were told only in the hotel, they even tried to cancel their reservations, but the hotel did not allow them.
I would recommend the hotel to remove the pictures from the website, they should be back to the website when they are open again.
I believe we should get a part of the money back or a total refund.

Nice retreat in a beautiful location
Posted 23 Jul 2021 on HotelsBeautiful location. The grounds are attractive with a feeling of being in the countryside. There was a wedding happening when we arrived :-) live music but didn’t hear anything from our room.
Attractive lobby area (though didn’t actively get a chance to use it). Views are lovely. Room a bit dark but in the heat of Summer very welcome. We had a duplex for a family with sofa bed downstairs and a separate bedroom upstairs where the bathroom is located. We only stayed one night - very comfortable (aircon) and well appointed. Bathtub is described as a jacuzzi tub but it is a small rectangular one not a big corner jacuzzi tub - just to set correct expectations :-)
Breakfast was one platter of a continental style brought out (though you could ask for extra). Decently adequate, good croissants and pan con tomate!
We dined at the restaurant. It was just ok and for sure overpriced for what it was. Dining room is modern but with little ambience… Nd sadly no outdoor area to eat which would have made all the difference.
There are probably better places to eat at the nearest town but for proximity to hotel room/bed it was our best option.
Pool is an extra cost (€6 per person) and you need sandals and a swim cap. We opted not to use it as it wasn’t worth it. The area is full of natural swimming holes in the river Tormes, we found one with a mini beach just minutes from the hotel.(photo)

Hotel interior is not well maintained. They moved us around different rooms even we insisted not to because of only a short two nights stay.

The property was clean and very nice. But the staff were rude and impatient. Sadly, our entire wedding party spent alot of money there and the staff treated us like we were a huge inconvenience to them. No elevators in second building. No help with bags. No bartender in bar. Wait time so slow. Understaffed! Using the pool costs extra per person with a reservation ahead of time.. Crazy! I would not stay here again.

In a beautiful setting
Posted 11 Nov 2016 on HotelsThere were two things that need improving. The first is fundamental. The bed. Worn and hard and you could feel the springs poking through the mattress. There's really no excuse for a poor quality bed in a hotel room . A good night's sleep should be offered as a top priority by hotel managers/owners. I was in room 1206 and both single beds need replacing! The restaurant is a little sad. The decor needs updating, it's lacking in intimate ambience (candles and some low music would set a nice mood) and some more private eating areas would be good.
