The hotel has a great location, close to many of the tourist spots yet still quiet. Staff is amazing, kind and helpful. Bakery downstairs is another plus, which gives many breakfast options. I also got chocolates for Easter, a great surprise!

Hotel Praktik was in an ideal location for all the sights and the shopping of Barcelona. The room was compact but completely sufficient for our needs. The bakery served delicious food - we had a lovely smoked salmon salad and several yummy cakes. We didn’t have the breakfast, but it looked delicious.

It's hard to go wrong in Barcelona, because...you are in Barcelona! This is a quaint hotel. The bakery is a plus. Just know the rooms are tiny. I mean, TINY. That didn't bother us on our trip, but some people showed up and wanted their money back but the hotel does not give refunds after a certain date. So, just be aware...TINY. The other thing to know is the hotel backs up to a school playground/park. It can get pretty loud during the day, so if you book a room on the back side of the building and are a stay-up all night sleep-during-the-day type of person, this isn't the place for you.
The rates are reasonable. The breakfast is above average. The location is more than convenient - walking distance to several must-see Gaudi buildings, and a quick walk to Las Ramblas.

In Europe, due to the lack of space in the main cities, the flats are compact size especially next to the city centre as our hotel. Despite of this, we optimise the space to the maximum so that our rooms are full equipped. For example with a huge shower! Indeed, as you mention, our location is one of our strengths: a peaceful neighbourhood next to the city centre, metro and bus stations, shops and restaurants, and emblematic buildings as La Pedrera or Sagrada Familia. Ideal to explore the city!We take notes about your suggestion for the soundproofing of the rooms and we pass on the department concerned. With the noise of children playing in the park or people and traffic in the street is impossible to mute them. It will definitely be a pleasure to welcome you back. Best regards

Good location, but hotel service was below average. Receptionist was not always at the front desk.
