Beautiful view from the room. Walkable with large hills so lots of exercise but far enough away from the hustle and bustle that it’s quiet

Clean, bright and modern, but.....
Posted 3 Apr 2023 on HotelsThe room was clean, bright and modern with a comfortable bed. It wasn't without a few problems though. No sockets by the bed and the nearest ones on the TV wall didn't work. The shower head wouldn't remain at the right angle. Biggest problem for us was the lack of a kettle in the room. Access to coffee machine (payment required) in reception was only in the morning, it was all locked up when returning at night. To me, the ability to have a coffee at night is a basic requirement that I expect from any hotel. Potentially a nice hotel, but these minor things let it down

Very nice clean hotel and a huge room. Hotel located in a residential nerhood so it is a very peaceful locaton.
The view from the hotel, of the homes, and hills in the snow was lovelly. 5 min drive to the center of the town. On the negative side the breakfast was dissappointing and the hotel looks a little dated. Over all we were very pleased with the hotel and will come back again

Great part of Bamberg with easy walk downtown. Quiet and peaceful. Great view of the Altenburg.

Relatively basic which is reflected in price
Posted 5 Sep 2022 on HotelsHotel was clean but very basic Rooms ( single ) very basic. Designed for small people. Breakfast at 11 euros was not good value. Staff were friendly and helpful . Hotel located relatively close to Altstadt however on a hill hence walking to and from in the heat was not best. Overall 6/10

Decent hotel close to the old town, but incorrect
Posted 28 Nov 2021 on HotelsThe hotel is decent. It's very close to the old town. However, the room I was given was very small and just had a twin bed when it was supposed to be a double bed. I have spent more than a hundred nights in hotels in the past year alone and I have never been given the wrong room. Maybe the receptionist got confused.
At least the heater was working and it was nice and cozy.

Recently refurbished room and bathroom, nice heated towel rail.
Great balcony for a sundowner, parking is free although does get busy

Worn & torn but solid. Budget hotel.

The house however probably hasn’t been renovated in a while. The wallpaper is coming off, the carpets tell olfactory tales of many a naked foot. The windows don’t insulate well, the house itself is quite noisy with thin walls.
The staff didn’t comply with the Corona prevention measures; no one wore masks.
