First time in Bake

Clean, big rooms, good variety breakfast. But the best about this hotel is the great service of the stuff. Especially Finral, Aytan, Narmin, and Batula.

Austere Hotel, 10 minutes walk from old city
Posted 30 Apr 2018Perhaps arriving late (after 10pm and leaving early 3am on a short Grand Prix break smdid not allow me to experience the hotel at its best. The breakfast was average and the decor “Soviet” and there was lots of building work going on in the surrounding area. The safe did not work and I did not have time to address this. There was little charm, but it was clean, functional and reasonably priced.

Hotel centrally located

Pros: Staff were very helpful
Location: Carpet Museum is great and worth a visit
Enjoyed Baku. Interesting mix of old style Soviet era with newer oil funded buildings and parks. Looks like most people in Baku live in apartment blocks.
