Found it hard to cross the road to get to the main building.
Maybe some kind of crossing would help but perhaps that is not possible.

What a gorgeous stay! This is such an iconic hotel on country sports and it did not disappoint - we can’t wait to come back!

We stayed here for our day trip to Chatsworth House. The staff were incredibly warm and welcoming. We had arrived late in the night and the restaurant was closed but the staff kindly prepared us food which was delicious. The room was clean and the bathtub is great to soak in after a long day of sightseeing!

A lovely old Hotel with quirky decor, centrally situated in the town and convenient for shops and dining.
Only slight downside was the limited parking which left you unsure of a space if you arrive late in the afternoon or evening.

We had an amazing stay at the Rutland Arms, it exceeded our expectations in every way. Everything we could have hoped for from a former English coaching Inn, although it felt traditional everything was up to date and clean and well cared for. Can’t wait to return!
