The property met my three primary criteria; clean, quiet, comfortable. We stayed there two nights while we explored the surrounding area. My biggest criticism is that the area isn't exactly pedestrian friendly, though that's a common issue with lots of motels.

Hi Jose, I am sorry you were upset the pool wasn't open and opted to go down to a hotel with a pool. Our pool is not listed as an amenity on the site you booked on. The only place it's found is on old pictures posted to Google from 4-5 years ago by guests that we cannot remove.

The property looks a bit tired. But our room was clean, and we felt very safe. The girl who checked us in was lovely.

The room was clean but very outdated. Desk clerk was very friendly and helpful. The lobby is closed from 10pm to 9am which I found strange.

Hi Sandra, the hotel was built in 1978 and we are working on upgrades. We are a small town with a very small staff and with all the amenities in rooms including coffee we find the lobby hours are usually sufficient for most guest as well as give the staff time to prepare for the next day. Property needs updating. It could be the second most desired destination hotel in Baker City with a little love.

Hi Peter, the hotel is currently undergoing renovations and improvement. We strive with our very small staff to provide clean comfortable rooms for our guests. Hopefully very soon we will be a destination hotel for our area as those of us working here love this unique hotel.

Coffee maker was not cleaned, old soap in the shower tub.

Hi Neal, I am very sorry you found a couple things not cleaned in your room. Had we known about it we would have happily moved to another room. We try very hard to make the rooms and facility as clean as possible at the hotel.

This is our second visit to this hotel and it's lovely. A perfect place to spend the night on our way through. We would definitely stay here again

Wasp where in my room. Property was not the same as shown online.

Hi Tommie, we apologies that you found a wasp in your room. We are an open-air balcony style hotel and with room doors being open for housekeeping or guest bringing in their luggage it's always a possibility of insects flying in but if we would have seen anything in the rooms, we defiantly would have taken care of the issue. Also, if we had been made aware of the issue, we would have moved you to a different room. The pictures of the property online are of our hotel, we are currently undergoing some renovations.
