Room was small, bed, and pillows were very hard. Toilet was a bit tricky getting it to flush

A must stay
Posted 27 Aug 2023 on HotelsMy wife and I stayed for our 30th anniversary. I would highly recommend it, this hotel is definitely not the average hotel. The property, rooms, lobby, patio and lounge are historic and beautiful. The staff is incredibly welcoming and friendly and keep the rooms and facility, clean and spotless.

My daughter and I stayed here for a weekend getaway and we loved Maxwelton Braes. The on-site tennis and pickle ball courts made us wish we were staying longer. We also loved the patio outside. They even offered us complimentary use of the cruiser bicycles so we could cycle into Bailey Harbor just a mile away. We had an excellent time and would happily go back.

Good hotel
Posted 24 Jul 2023 on HotelsExcellent customer service, appreciated the vintage touches to honor the history of the location. Not a lot of food options and bar closed early (8 PM?) so we dined elsewhere throughout our stay.
