Old School Charm Near Train Station
Posted 5 Feb 2024 on HotelsAn old wooden building with excellent value rooms. Shared bathrooms are clean with good water pressure. Downstairs rooms have en suite bath with TV and aircon. Right on the river. Perfect for catching an onward train. Family run guesthouse with laundry service and assistance booking local tours and transportation. I have stayed here several times and look forward to my next visit. They also offer showers for non guests for only 50 baht if you want to clean up before your onward travel. This place is a real gem.

Rustic old world charm.
Posted 20 Jan 2024 on HotelsOur pleasant stay was helped by Pitcher, our friendly host with a wealth of local knowledge who immediately made us feel welcome. 5 mins walk from the Station was a huge bonus on a hot day. Highly recommended!

It rained a lot and the water from the river came into the lobby, but it was fun to build a bridge up to the second floor to get in and out. An old, well-maintained wooden building made me a time traveler. The hostess made me feel comfortable just like my grandmother.

The lady at the front desk was very rude. She made me pay an extra fee to have a private bathroom, something that was not explained on the Expedia booking, although, she said I was suppose to know that. Also, the restaurant was closed when we showed up. Definitely wouldn’t recommend this place.

Great Place to Relax
Posted 10 Jun 2019 on HotelsUsed this as a home base for our day trip to Ayutthaya before heading on the evening train to Chiang Mai. The guesthouse is within walking distance to the train station plus restaurants so was convenient. The area was quiet and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful in making our very short stay enjoyable, even so far as to help arrange our Tuk Tuk tour into the historic area
Only one comment on the stay was the steep flight of stairs to the 2nd floor. It did make carrying a large suitcase difficult.
