Friendly helpful staff. Comfortable room. Bang in the centre of town so some traffic noise. Shower poor. Good breakfast.

Check in was quick and efficient. Liked the ability to enter/ exit from our own hotel backdoor and not have to go through the bar area. A little bit noisy but it's in the center of town and my room was above the beer garden area. No lift, I was on the top floor. Might be a deal breaker for some.

Really nice overnight stay, close to the train station. Clean and tidy room. Lovely breakfast to start the day. Staff were lovely and welcoming. One tiny bit of feedback no toilet brush! 😂

When booking through Expedia i put in bank details which confirmed the booking. I was booking for staff members and on arrival they were told they needed to pay. Expedia doesn't make this clear that even though you give bank details payment is not taken at the time and you will need to pay at the hotel. Very frustrating when booking on behalf of others.

Great weekend stay

Our room and bathroom were very clean .
Food served was great and atmosphere friendly.
Our only issue was that the hotel is on a busy road and as the building is old it has sash windows with single glazing so road traffic noise was a problem to start with but that is something that cannot be helped.

The hotel was very clean and decorated brilliantly for halloween.
Check in went very smoothly and the room we were allocated was excellent and spotlessly clean. Facilities were good with tea, coffee and biscuits, more than most other hotels.
The evening meal we had was excellent and the service was great.
All in all a great stay and will go again if in the area.
