I was a returning customer to this hotel. Staff was courteous and professional. I did not travel with my vehicle so hotel staff called a hotel registered cab that drove me around both within and out of state for the days I was with them. I had no security issues. Continental breakfast buffet was a plus. They offer variety of local and continental meal for lunch and dinner though I tilted towards local dish-onugbu, oha soup etc. Room was sparkling clean and comfortable. I strongly recommend De Santos Hotel Awka. In my opinion, their rate is fair compared to the quality of service. I did not utilize the gym and swimming pool so I cannot comment on those amenities. Also, the hotel is located along Enugu/Onitsha express way which makes it easily accessible. Over all, I had an awesome experience at De Santos Hotel Awka.

Pros: Location, good organization, good breakfast offer, and general elegance and cleanliness
Cons: Oversight and maintenance of little things that could alter the wow experience. Like the constant water on the bathroom floor, clogged basin, etc

The hotel is unbelievably comfortable. Everything worked but for little flashes of maintenance dereliction. Some annoying little things that could have been permanently fixed in bathroom were missed, and some minor lighting issues; but regardless, it was a fantastic stay. i will definitely return.

Cons: Bathroom tissue paper holder in my room was broken. Should be fixed asap.
Hotel premises is sparkling neat. Security level is very high with a police patrol station located few blocks away from facility. Staff appears neat and decently dressed. Top notch customer service. Restaurant has variety of both local and intercontinental dishes. Complimentary breakfast is commendable. Food is well prepared and tastes really good.(I am very particular with what I eat). I did not come with my own ride so the receptionist recommended a cab driver that took me around within the state and outside the state for the few days I was with them. I had no issues with my cab experience bearing in mind that I do not live in that area, so I was so concerned about security issues. They were very responsive to my requests. I did not use the swimming pool or the gym so I will not comment on them. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would not hesitate to stay again at De Santos hotel anytime I am around that vicinity.

Pros: Convenient for business in Awkwa. Close to government offices.
Cons: The food is very spicy for western travellers. They should accommodate western taste with less spicy dishes.
Overall the hotel was good. The food in restaurant is very spicy for western taste. Staff was friendly.

Das Frühstücl ist nichts für Besucher aus snderen Ländern. Sehr einheimisch und Einseitig.
Das Schlimmste war aber die Sauberkeit. Während das Hotel sehr viele Mitarbeiter hat die alle ständig einfach nur rumsaßen. Waren die Zimmer wirklich dreckig, der Pool wurde auch extrem lange nicht mehr gereinigt. Der Boden von dem Pool war schon mit einer glitschigen Schicht bezogen.
Das Management sollte hier mehr eingreifen und die Mitarbeiter steuern.
