Lobby and hall way smelled very bad and sink back up !!!!!! Very nasty what came out of of it

When we stayed here a few years ago, we felt it was very nice for a low-budget property. Now, the ownership has let the property fall into disrepair. One of the beds in our room squeaks with every move. Toilet roll holder one pull from falling off the wall. Breakfast option under repair, even though they have a sign in the lobby advertising breakfast. Why?

Cleanliness in room was lacking. Several open areas or holes in walls. Black mold stains around base of tub.

Always stay at yhis Motel 6 as we travel from Colorado to Michigan. Best Motel 6 we've ever stayed at.

Good: convenient, guest laundry and restaurant on site.
Not so good: Horrible mattresses; noise from hallway and outside; restaurant had very limited options at 8pm on a Thursday night.
