Rotten, a lizard in room, 100s of mosquitos in room, property very run down with mould in bath room, sheets not washed, we found somebody pile of hair in bed. Stinks and smells of mould. We checked out and moved to another hotel in 10 minutes. Loud noise outside, like a boom box on head.

Poor maintenance & downgraded hotel

Hotel Staff are good and want to help in case of difficulty. But the resort is totally in a bad shape with no internal street lightings , poor maintenance, absolutely bad cleanliness etc . During my stay , there was a rat scare in the room, the staff came to help out , but the rat could not be located . All this is due to poor maintenance. The rooms were dusty upon arrival . Food quality is just average . I ordered some Thai curry for dinner , but the curry was no where near actual Thai curry . I think they don’t have enough staff to manage and the owners are not bothered about the proper upkeep of the resort. Totally a bad experience. The rooms are very old model and not updated as per current needs .

Thank you for choosing The Meadows through Expedia for your stay. You had booked for 1 room on single occupancy but at the time of check-in 2 people showed up. As you wanted the room on double occupancy, Front Office personnel politely informed you that you have to pay the rate differential as per the double occupancy rate on Expedia. You disagreed and argued for stay at the single’s rate. This is against the hotel policy. We have proof of your booking voucher for single occupancy and ID proofs of the two persons who came.

What a weird place

The Meadows is the strangest hotel I've ever stayed in. Here are the pros: our flight from Mumbai landed at 6:15 am and The Meadows was able to provide us with an early check in. The rooms are all little cottages, and had a lot of outlets, so you can charge your devices easily. However, the bathroom consistently had a swarm of small flies in it. I asked the front desk to have housekeeping deal with it, but I don't think he understood my English. I ended up smushing at least 30 little flies myself. In addition, our bed had ants in it at least twice, despite the sheets being changed. Because it's a resort, and because the area it's in is largely residential, you're stuck eating at the hotel restaurant. I booked it because it meant that our drive to Ellora Caves would be a little shorter, as it's on the way. The table cloths were consistently dirty (stained with food) and unpressed. None of the waitstaff seemed to speak English very well. Literally every single menu was different - some items were listed in one menu but not another. This meant that your orders were taken very literally, because not even the waitstaff knew what was on the menu! So if the menu said "gulab jamun with ice cream" and you ordered the gulab jamun, you got...gulab jamun. No ice cream. In addition, even though it's set up to be a swanky resort, the grounds were always dirty. There were beer cans and water bottles strewn about, and stray dogs roaming around. On the whole, I was unimpressed.

Disappointing...

Great property but the rooms are very run down and haven't been maintained at all. This place has definitely seen better days. I wouldn't go back...

Cleanliness is good. property is good. However, the place is understaffed. Many items from the food menu were not available. Spa service too doesn't have many of the service mentioned in the menu unavailable. There was lack of communication between staff.

A Resort that could have been

Poor food and very little coordination between front office and other staff. The place has potential unfortunately not living upto it.
