It’s stunning! Modern and luxurious. The drive in is a tad challenging but worth it. The accommodation is fabulous. Amazing views. Great food. A special place. We loved everything about it.

Mountain Retreat
Posted 15 Feb 2024 on HotelsDisappointing that the spa bath in room was non operational and apparently all spa baths were the same.
Shower complicated control system. Tried to go fancy but failed.
Included breakfast good but doesn't start until 8am. Dinner nice but exorbitantly overpriced.
Single lane gravel road into property dangerous with lots of blind corners and cars travelling too fast. Had a number of near misses.

Excellent. Make the detour here!
Posted 9 Feb 2024 on HotelsWe chose this to break the journey to Russell but, could not have been more pleased. 5km down a single track dirt road, slowly climbing up a dirt road. An amazing journey to get there and well worth it. DEFINITELY book dinner. Delicious food and a real destination hotel. We will definitely come back and would recommend.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Very luxurious and will book again.
My only comment would be the road to the property was quite scary and dangerous. We drive a 4WD Ute and I’m so glad we do because we arrived in the evening and it was raining quite heavily. The roads became muddy and slippery and there is no lighting on the road.
Other than that amazing stay!

Probably the nicest place for the money I’ve EVER stayed. Quiet, beautiful setting with spacious, luxurious accommodations. Lodge is situated on top of a hill with panoramic views. “Villas” are widely spaced with big windows and verandahs to take in scenery. Generous tiled en-suite with two-headed shower, spa bath. Luxury is the word that comes to mind.
