Couple in next room argued/fought. Tried to inform staff but no one came. Someone tried to open the door of my room.

I don’t know what all the great reviews are about but this place was mediocre at best. Maybe even a little less than mediocre. First issue was the black bedding. Hotels NEVER have black bedding neither has any air bnb I have stayed in. Black bedding means they are probably not clean or you’re trying to hide stains. They didn’t even smell fresh. My husband and I laid our own sheets on top. Secondly, It could have been cleaner. The walls had a lot of marks and stains. Third, it was cold in the room! There was no thermostat in the room so the guests could not control the temperature. I texted them and they said it was a heater in there. Ok, found the heater but it barely worked. It was loud and raggedy and it cut off every two minutes. I suggest the owner get a new one for the guests. Lastly, the BIGGEST issue we had were the BUGS! Look, I know it’s the south and there’s woods everywhere but if you’re not accustomed to them south bugs then you are in for a not so pleasant experience. My husband had to fight HUGE flying cockroaches and other big bugs off of our room door every night just so we could get into the room! It was insane! Even inside the room you are going to see some bugs! The huge bugs were not inside the room but there were baby millipedes and other little weird bugs in there. They should ABSOLUTELY provide the guest with bug spray. We contemplated just leaving and going to a hotel but didn’t wanna waste our money.

Sorry to hear you didn't have a good experience. There are some things we can control and others we can't. The house has a single thermostat which we keep at 72 throughout the house. If thats too cold, there is a room heater which can be adjusted to whatever temperature you like. Flying bugs only get in the room when door is left open. Just fyi...cockroaches dont fly so its something else..They are attracted to light so they fly in unnoticed. Keeping bug spray in the room is a good idea. We didnt hear ofnany of these issues till afterwards and could definitely have assisted if we had known of the issues

Poor AC

The ac is contrilled by the other unit which was shut off at 20pm so uncomfortable warm all night

Thanks for staying. The house and all units are kept at 72f. The AC is NOT turned off at 8pm... It only turns off when the desired temperature is reached

Really clean house. The bed was clean and comfortable. The the neighborhood doesn’t look like much but don’t be bougie. This place is a hidden gem. Will stay again.
