Roses and Rosemary

From the grounds that are filled with the most spectacular displays of roses, rosemary and lavender to the manor house - a tasteful (impeccable) combination of industrial chic and ancient stone, and a pool - so welcomed after hiking the Umbrian countryside’s hills. Breakfast on the patio is another delightful experience here.

Nice place to stay but BRING YOUR OWN TOWELS

Pros: Quiet surroundings - nice breakfast.
Cons: Let guests know about the extra charge for swimming towels and caps up front.
Nice place to stay - good breakfast - quiet and relaxing. HOWEVER, I was shocked when we were presented with a bill upon leaving for the use of swimming towels and manditory swim caps. We were a family of four and were charged 4 Euros for each towel and swim cap - total of 32 Euros! It's expensive enough travelling with a family in Europe and then to get this......We used the pool for about an hour. I feel like our host should have told us about this charge before she gave us the towels and caps. So this left us with some bad feelings after an otherwise pleasent stay.

Assisi' Country Home

Our room had a private balcony from which we could see the Basilica of St. Francis ienjoyable.The short drive to Assist was not a problem. The owners extended themselves to make our stay enjoyable. For example, they provided a ticket to a parking garage that had easy access to the centerof town. A minor comment is that we felt the owners could have been more solicitous of extra cups of coffee and bathroom soap.

Fantastic hospitality
Posted 11 Jun 2014 on HotelsWe often use the word hospitality to mean all sorts of things from low aggravation to comfortable to welcoming. The Lady of the House at Vignole is well above any of this when it comes to hospitality. We arrived and found that through our fault we had reserved for the following night even though we had intended to arrive when we did. She explained that they were closed that day and would reopen the next. I asked where we should go as we were only in the region for one day. She said 'Well, I guess you have to stay here.' And from that moment she did everything to welcome us as true guests of here Inn. She took all the time to show us around, explain where to go to eat, where and when breakfast would be served--and absolutely no attitude whatsoever -- just a sincere welcome. Regrettably it is a most uncommon experience but not at Vignole. I highly recommend you have a look.

Helt igennem ordenligt hotel
Posted 25 Jul 2017 on HotelsFin morgenmad, venlig og hjælpsom betjening. Lækker indretning. Bedre hotel end ventet til prisen, læs: det er billigt i forhold til det man får. MEN det kræver en bil, eller et perfekt til overnatning inden fly. Man går fint til lufthavnen.
Gudsforladt by, men hotellet ved siden af Antica-et-eller-andet serverer mad der får englene til at synge til rimelige priser.

Posted 15 Aug 2015 on HotelsPosto ideale per trascorrere un periodo di relax senza rinunciare al fascino artistico e spirituale di Assisi. Personale di estrema cortesia e discrezione. In pochi minuti si è alla portata di tutte le chiese di Assisi e di una infinità di ristoranti. Ideale anche per visitare altre perle dell'Umbria (Perugia, Spello, Corciano, Montone... tutte a meno di mezzora di strada).
