Get the mountain view for sure!
Posted 5 Mar 2024 on HotelsBeautiful property! A little pricy for what you get as a 5star hotel, I think what you pay for is the view. I arrived late evening and when I was finally showered and ready to sleep I saw dozens of fleas all over my headboard. Not sure why or where they came from, and after housekeeping came up and offered to fumigate, we decided it was better to switch rooms entirely. It was a very simple swap and I'm grateful that it was easy. The rest of my stay was great. Lunch options were minimal, but the morning breakfast buffet is incredible and I would need a month just to explore all the options! I would definitely stay here again for the experience.

Beautiful property with amazing views and great vegetation! The staff went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable after our 3 AM arrival at the hotel, we are super grateful! They gave us a tour of the coffee plantation and gardens from where food is sourced to the restaurants! The pool and amenities are amazing as well!

This property is gorgeous inside and out. The dining options are great. The view of Mt. Meru is spectacular. The lighting in the bedroom and plugs are well spaced, modern and well thought out. The property is clean and we'll maintained. It is close to the market and other locations. Also, it blends well with the environment. I used the spa twice which was amazing service and the gym and sauna are wonderful as well. Lastly, the service is perfect. Everyone is so kind from check-in, to the restaurants, and to the manager Ashish who was a great help when I was confused. I enjoyed my stay at this hotel in the front and back end of my trip to Tanzania and I will definitely stay here again.

I loved everything about Gran Melia Arusha. The best thing about the hotel were the incredibly hospitable staff who went above and beyond. I was very saddened to say goodbye to my breakfast staff who were so lovely and good to me.
