This is an okay property. A bit lower than Canadian standards, but not bad. The only real complaint was the noise. Just a lot of lound hallway noise and very squeaky floors. Would stay here again. Just not in the same row of rooms with the squeaky floor.

Hotel l'Univers is a fine old grand hotel. Our room was satisfactory, good beds and bedding, fine bathroom/shower room. Great buffet breakfast. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Very well located in central area, close to darn near everything. I would stay there again.

A pleasant hotel, surrounding a cobbled courtyard right in the centre of town. Clean and with modern updated bathrooms.

Arrived to be refused admission to car park. Searched in area for a short term parking and walked a distance back to book in. Was then found a parking in the hotel! Young receptionist had no English, this did not matter as I speak French. Rooms small but clean, bathroom cold. Bed comfortable. Restaurant pretty, food not good,. Quennelles had no taste and were in white sauce with apple, the sauce was obviously reheated. The risotto was made with cream, not usual, was tepid and bot appetising. Waiter friendly and helpful but didn’t like it when the food was criticised in response to his enquiry. We should have eaten out.

Staff was very helpful in arranging a ride for me. Stored my baggage in a safe place as i arrived early.

Ideally located beautiful typically French hotel, comfortable rooms and excellent service. Central for visiting Arras, WW1 WW2 Cemeteries and Memorials.
